Leon De Haan
Leon De Haan has been in full-time ministry since 1977. He has served on the pastoral staff in several churches. In 1992, Leon founded a ministry called Global Youth Ministries.
The vision was to aid youth workers worldwide with teaching and training to develop a vibrant youth ministry. That ministry has transformed into Thrive Ministries International.
Leon has taught in Bible schools here in the United States and around the world. He has traveled to over twenty different countries and has taught in Bible schools in other countries as well as here in the United States.
He has written many study guides that range from all the epistles of the New Testament along with subjects such as the five-fold ministries, the Kingdom of God, and the life of Paul.
Thrive Ministries has a weekday devotional called “Thrive in the Word” and produces many video podcasts that are on social media. Leon has also produced video series that can be used in small groups, home churches, or for a person’s own spiritual development.
Because of his background in missions, Leon’s teaching is Biblically based with great spiritual depth. His ministry is life-changing. Leon lives in West Michigan with his wife, Audrey.
They have two grown children and one granddaughter. They recently spent a month in South Africa ministering to pastors and their wives. Leon and Audrey minister together in churches and conferences.
